Finding in Florida is a free mutual consent adoption search registry for those adoptees, adoptive families and birth families who are searching in the state of Florida.

The registry has been online since 1992, and over the years we have had the pleasure of facilitating many reunions.

As a mutual consent registry, both parties must be registered in order to determine a match.

As much as we'd love to assist everyone in their searches, maintaining the registry is a lot of work, and we'll gladly give you plenty of valuable search information, but we cannot search for you, or assist in your search.

New look, new functionality!

Finding in Florida not only has a new website, we also have automated what was previously a manual process. We now have an online database. When you register, your information goes directly to our database so that other searchers can see it.

What happens to your personal info?

We take your confidentiality seriously, and although we ask you to provide personal information such as full name, address, phone number, etc., none of that information is posted online. Personal contact information is ONLY released if we have determined that there is or may be a match.

Please be patient!

We will try to respond to potential match inquiries as soon as possible, but we have a lot to do, and limited time in which to do it, so please be patient if you don't hear from us as quickly as you hoped to. We haven't forgotten you, but we're very busy, and we're still fine tuning our new processes and functions.

Florida Search Angels

If you need help or guidance in your search, you should try contacting the Florida Search Angels. FSA is a group of experienced volunteer searchers who are dedicated to helping make reunions happen. Visit their website.

When you really need someone to talk to who understands. Our soft shoulders volunteers are list members that have been through a search, and that understand the feelings and emotions involved.
